Counter-survey

If you sustain damage to your property due to a collision or fire, for example, your insurance company will hire its own adjuster to determine its cause and extent.
To prevent the insurance company from financially penalizing you in the settlement, it is advisable to request a contra-survey.

Duursma & Versluijs can engage you as a counter-expert to have an objective estimate made so that the claim settlement will not unfairly end up to your disadvantage.

We are:

• NVEP Qualified Yacht Surveyor® (Dutch Association of Experts Pleasure Craft).
• EMCI Registered Yacht Surveyor® (European Maritime Certification Institute).

We agree on a fixed amount in advance. So that there are no surprises.
